Nothing like Gimp 2.4.2 to turn art into an exercise in problem solving. Water is a difficult thing to simulate, and this time I found myself asking, "What do I want to do, how should I do it, and what does Gimp have to help me?" I came up with a satisfactory way of putting Skye in a swimming pool.

Oh, if only I were as active as my alter ego, playing with the flying disc on the nearby grounds. Oh well, at least one of us is showing signs of being healthy. Making the disc look like it's spinning in flight was achieved my taking a photo of the top of the disk, spin-blurring it, and overlaying it over top of another photo of the disk photographed from the side.
